PhotoFact: what could become an American fighter 5-th generation

It became known what could become an American fighter 5-th generation.

In the mid-90s of the last century, American aircraft manufacturers began to develop their 5th generation F-35 fighter, which, according to some reports, was designed on the basis of the Soviet Yak-141 aircraft, which is noticeable in some elements. In fact, Lockheed Martin does not hide this fact, but not everyone knows that the main competitor of the F-35 fighter was the aircraft developed by the Boeing Corporation - the F-32.

The American edition of The Drive published an article in which specialist Tyler Rogovey decided to tell what the American fighter 5-generation could become if the choice was made in favor of F-32.

As you can see in the presented photos, externally the F-32 fighter (the project was called X-32 - ed.) Is very similar to the design of the F-35 fighter, but it also has a number of differences, for example, in the nose there is a large air intake, wings are similar to the screen design, and the form itself is more streamlined, and therefore more aerodynamic.

The reasons for which the advantage was given to the F-35 aircraft remain unknown to this day, however, experts believe that the aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin was considered more promising, as it was based on some of the achievements of Soviet and Russian scientists and engineers, which should improve the effectiveness of the application, especially given that Soviet aircraft have always been considered good.

“It cannot be ruled out that if the choice fell on the F-32 fighter, now the US Air Force could be armed with two first-class aircraft, but due to a miscalculation of specialists, the same F-35s do not want to buy US partners, stating on the revealed dozens of defects and low efficiency of these aircraft ", - said a specialist Avia.pro.

* F-35 - family of unobtrusive multifunctional fighter-bombers of the fifth generation, developed by the American company Lockheed Martin in three versions: a ground-based fighter (CTOL) for the US Air Force, a short-range takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) for the US Marine Corps and the United Kingdom Navy, and a deck fighter (CV) for the needs of the US Navy.

We are all poked that Su-57 is not unobtrusive and therefore it is not 5-th generation ... But after all, F-35 does not have a supersonic on a non-bounce mode - and this is one of the conditions of the 5 generation ... By the way, but for days Su -30MKI Indian Air Force has spotted the flight of Chinese fighters 5-th generation over Tibet (and in fact it is stealth) ... That is, the Russian radar even in the export performance sees them ... Then draw conclusions yourself ...
