The FSB stopped the import of 27 improvised explosive devices from Ukraine through the EU

Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia, together with the customs service, successfully prevented an attempt to import into Russian territory 27 improvised explosive devices hidden in icons and church utensils. The explosives were found in cargo traveling from Ukraine through a number of EU countries, including Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

In addition to explosive devices, 70 kilograms of high-power plastic explosive manufactured industrially, 91 electric detonators, as well as parts of a shot for an RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher were seized. The attacker involved in organizing the transportation of cargo was detained.
