Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, made an official statement in which he denied rumors that appeared on the Internet that the settlement of Zhuravlevka allegedly came under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces. According to him, this information is not true and Russian troops are in full control of this part of the region.

The Governor stressed that, despite the difficult situation and ongoing hostilities, Zhuravlevka remains Russian territory and there is no enemy presence there.

"The situation is difficult. There are battles. But it was and will forever remain Russian territory. There is no enemy there. It is under our control," - Gladkov said.

Earlier, information appeared on social networks and messengers about an allegedly successful attack by Ukrainian militants on Zhuravlevka, which caused concern among local residents.
