Gasoline tank fire in Tuapse continues for second day

For the second day in a row, an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, is burning after being damaged in a night attack on March 14, 2025. Local residents report that thick black smoke from the burning tank is visible from afar, and the fire, which started after debris fell, has not yet been fully brought under control. Eyewitnesses note that the sounds of explosions woke the city at about three o'clock in the morning, after which flames broke out on the territory of the refinery. Officially, the authorities confirmed the fact of the fire.

Significant forces have been deployed to extinguish the fire: almost 190 specialists, including employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, and 55 units of equipment. As Interfax reports, citing the Krasnodar Territory task force, the main efforts are aimed at cooling the walls of the burning tank and protecting neighboring structures from the spread of fire. The area of the fire exceeds one thousand square meters, and the capacity of the tank, according to regional authorities, reaches 20 thousand tons of gasoline. Despite the scale of the operation, the fire continues to threaten the plant's infrastructure, which is causing concern among local residents.

According to sources of Avia.pro, the attack on the Tuapse Oil Refinery was carried out using Lyuty drones.
