Construction of the civil sector of the Belbek airport will begin in 2019.

The information that in a year and a half on the territory of Sevastopol construction of the civil sector of the Belbek airport will start was announced the day before by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak. Initially, the civil sector will be able to accept only business jets, however, in the future, passenger liners will also be able to land there, which in turn should increase the capabilities of air operators when flying to the Crimean peninsula.

It is expected that the capacity of the civil sector of the Belbek airport will be about 10 thousand passengers per year.
