Greece tries to dissuade Russia from selling S-400 Triumph complexes to Turkey

Alexis Tsipras said he was worried about the supply of Triumph C-400 air defense systems to Turkey.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he was deeply concerned about Russia's intentions to sell Turkey Triumph C-400 air defense systems to Turkey. According to Tsipras, thus Russia gives Turkey an indisputable advantage, and retains the threat of war between Turkey and Greece.

“We discussed the events in the eastern part of the Mediterranean, the new energy map that is being formed in this region, the role of Russia and the relations of both countries with Turkey. I expressed our concern to President Putin about the arms programs of Turkey, because she wants to keep the reason for the war with our country. ”- said Alexis Tsipras.

On the other hand, Greece has previously proved itself as an unreliable Russian partner, carrying out reconnaissance near Russian military bases in the Syrian Arab Republic, and making harsh statements about the allegedly existing Russian aggression and military threat, but analysts, in turn, believe that Turkey will not Acquire Russian C-400 "Triumph" systems, which is caused by pressure from NATO and the threat of breakdown of contracts with the United States.
