The Russian military broke Erdogan's plans to occupy Syria.

According to several sources, a large group of Russian officers were deployed to the Syrian city of Kamishli, located right on the border with Turkey. This region is strategically important, since it allows control over both the eastern part of Syria and the central one, in connection with which Turkey's offensive plans were actually thwarted.

Among other things, information appeared a day earlier that Syria had deployed three tank brigades in this direction, which indicates the fact that in the event of attempts by the Turkish military and terrorists to break into the territory of the Arab republic, the latter will suffer massive losses.

For what purpose the Russian military could have been deployed to Kamyshly remains unknown - there have been no official comments on this from the representatives of the RF Ministry of Defense and the command of the Russian military group in Syria.

On the other hand, a number of sources report that the reason for this may be the evacuation of the French military, especially since a conversation between the Russian and French sides took place the day before.
