Amid the ongoing conflict on the border between Lebanon and Israel, the radical group Hezbollah launched a massive missile attack on the Israeli city of Haifa. According to local services, about 100 missiles were fired from southern Lebanon. Some of them, despite the operation of the air defense system, reached residential areas.
The Israeli Ynet portal reported that a 70-year-old woman was injured in the shelling, receiving shrapnel wounds in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Yam. The victim was taken to hospital, and her condition is assessed as stable.
Ambulance services and security forces responded quickly to the incident. Rocket debris also fell on residential areas in the area of Jerusalem Street in Kiryat Yam. According to eyewitnesses, the strikes caused significant destruction of several houses, but casualties were avoided thanks to the rapid response of emergency services and the operation of the air raid warning system.
