Holding "Helicopters of Russia" will begin mass production of light multi-purpose aircraft.

According to information and news agency Avia.pro, since 2019, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, part of the Russian Helicopters holding company, will massively produce light multi-purpose biplanes TVS-2DTS. These aircraft will soon have to replace the obsolete and physically worn-out planes of the Soviet and Ukrainian production of An-2, moreover, such an approach can give a powerful impetus to the development of light aviation in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Airplane TVS-2DTS is a light turboprop aircraft capable of operating at any time of the day and even in difficult meteorological conditions. The maximum carrying capacity of this aircraft is 3,5 tons, and the maximum flight range is 4500 kilometers, which significantly exceeds the capabilities of the obsolete An-2 aircraft.

By 2025, it is planned to produce at least 200 aircraft of this model for the needs of regional aviation.
