The International Civil Aviation Organization introduces a ban on the transportation of electronic cigarettes in luggage.

The main reason for the innovation from ICAO was the high probability of spontaneous combustion of electronic components, however, in turn, it should be noted that a number of airports in the world prohibit the transportation of electronic cigarettes in hand luggage, thereby putting passengers in a difficult situation.

Among other things, the new technical regulations prohibit the charging of electronic cigarettes while on board the aircraft, but the leadership of the international civil aviation organization did not provide official comments on this rule.
