Russian charter carriers are thinking about the exploitation of domestic aircraft IL-96.

Information about the fact that Russian charter airline "Icarus" and "Royal Flight" intend in the near future to begin operating domestic passenger aircraft IL-96, were announced Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation. Official confirmation of this information from the representatives of air carriers had not yet been received, but obviously, the information may well be true, as today they are more cost effective in terms of its operation and cost.

According to the "Royal Flight" to the information-Avia.pro news agency, the carrier plans to lease three aircraft and the airline "Icarus" only considering such a possibility.
