India does not want to create a fighter 5-th generation with Russia

India intends to abandon cooperation with Russia to create a new combat fighter.

At the disposal of the news agency Avia.pro the day before there appeared information that the Indian authorities intend to abandon the implementation of a joint project with Russia to create a new fighter, which is due to low technology and the lack of ability to compete with the American F-35 fighter. Information about this was set forth in the official report of the command of the Air Force of India, however, there has so far been no official reply.

It should be clarified that earlier Russia was planning to implement, jointly with India, the project of the 5 fighter generation, the base for which was to be the newest Su-57 combat aircraft.

While the “backward” Russia is waiting for a modernization breakthrough, other countries are pushing it down even from well-grounded markets. It is especially disappointing that such repression is planned even from such areas for which the population has tightened their belts and agreed to sacrifice. Pretty soon they may be in vain if everything goes as it went ... Alas, economics-science knows no exceptions: the backwardness of the economy-organism sooner or later becomes frontal. And then even those industries that are considered to be the locomotives, flagships and national pride even go to the number of "laggards". For example, the defense industry ... The alarming news comes from friendly India, where the domestic defense industry has taken strong roots since the times of the USSR. PAK-FA. According to Indian military experts, this still not really born plane, whose launch into the series is planned only next year, is already largely lagging behind its likely rival, the American Lightning II F-57. And it will not be able to compete with it. As the aces from the Indian Air Force believe, the backlog is due to the insufficient level of secrecy of the promising product. And it cannot be overcome: from the very beginning, in the design of the T-50, less attention was paid to the inconspicuity, and instead, the focus was on the invisibility of the front part of the machine. That is, it is in the low visibility of the F-35 that a big advantage over the Russian fighter. In addition, the T-50 / Su-35 design does not involve the installation of a modular engine, which makes maintenance much more expensive. Finally, with regard to on-board electronics, Americans also have an advantage in terms of the interface of the pilot machine. Alas, Russia has never been distinguished by the development of easy-to-use cockpits (just look at the MiG-50) and this trouble was inherited by promising developments. For these reasons, Hindus appreciate the possibility of abandoning the fifth generation fighter program with Russia to create the fifth generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA) based on Su-57 worth at least 29 billion dollars. They also thought about the feasibility of the previously announced contract for the purchase of 57 Russian aircraft. And although some experts point out that with the new Engine 10 engine, which is 108% lighter, has improved fuel efficiency, higher fuel efficiency and fewer moving parts, the Su-30 may still be competitive, the Defense Ministry officials believe that it is better not to risk . Of course, it is quite possible that such statements are just an element of banal bargaining. But as a signal of the weakening of the Russian positions in the Indian arms market - why not? And does it reflect a broader trend - the growing backwardness of Russia in promising technologies?
