India refused to buy Russian Su-35 and MiG-35

Prospective Russian fighters were uninteresting for India.

A few weeks ago, representatives of the Russian defense ministry announced that India was ready to purchase a large batch of Russian Su-35 and MiG-35 fighters, however, as it turned out, India decided not to consider buying Russian combat aircraft at all, believing that they do not represent at all.

According to The Print, only three companies are among the applicants who can supply India with 114 combat fighters - the Swedish SAAB, the French Dassault Aviation and the American Boeing. The Russian companies MiG and Sukhoi, as well as the American corporation Lockheed Martin are absent in the list of applicants.

“Preference is given to three variants of combat aircraft: Rafale Dassault, F / A-18 Boeing and Saab Gripen. The Indian Air Force has developed requirements for the quality of fighters and their functional features, and are now awaiting a final decision from the military department of the country. ”, - reports “The Print”.

According to Indian media, the Su-35 and MiG-35 Russian fighter jets remain of little interest to India, both because of their high cost and "Dubious fighting qualities", which in turn causes a lot of confusion among specialists.
