Russian-Indian aircraft

India refused to tender for the production of aircraft with Russia

The Ministry of Defense of India intends to produce transport aircraft jointly with Russia.

In particular, in order to continue active cooperation with Russian aircraft manufacturers, India refused to tender for the acquisition of aircraft Casa C-295, referring to the fact that the only proposal received is not rational. Due to the decision taken, India will continue to issue transport planes, together with Russia, and deficiencies in the air means may be offset by the purchase of aircraft from other aircraft companies.

In particular, it became known that the MTA, which is engaged in the production of Russia and India will have a length of about 33 meters and can carry about 18-20 tons of payload.
