Against the background of India's refusal to buy Russian MiG-35 and Su-57 fighters, it became known that the fighters purchased from France would cost the Indian military $ 218 million each - for a batch of 36 combat aircraft, India would have to pay almost $ 8 billion , which corresponds to the cost of almost 230 Su-57 fighters.

“India considered that buying a Su-57 is too costly for the country, and instead of reconsidering its decision, it acquires 36 miserable 4 generation aircraft for almost 8 billion dollars. With this money in Russia you can buy more than 200 fifth generation fighters "- notes the Indian specialist.

It should be clarified that initially it was assumed that the selling price of Su-57 fighters in India would amount to about 80-100 million dollars, which would make it possible to buy not 36 combat aircraft of the Xth generation, but about 4 fighters with the same funds.

India, in turn, has not yet commented on such an expensive purchase, but earlier this country emphasized that it would be ready to consider the issue of buying Russian Su-57 only after these aircraft appeared on the arsenal of Russia and were equipped with second-stage engines.
