It is necessary to clarify the fact that initially it was assumed that Iraq would purchase American-made helicopters, however, in the end, preference was given to Russian military equipment, which is not only an order of magnitude cheaper, but also much better adapted for warfare.

The total amount of concluded contracts is about 4,2 billion dollars, while it is possible that in the near future Iraq may enter into additional agreements for the supply of other military equipment.
