Fighters of the Iraqi Air Force are helping Syria to fight against IGIL.

Despite the fact that the United States has a strong influence on Iraqi territory, the authorities of this country decided to go against the US and help Syria fight for the liberation of the territory from terrorists.

Today in the daytime Avia.pro news agency was informed that F-16 fighters, armed with the Air Force of Iraq, carried out at least six combat sorties to the border areas of Syria, with the aim of inflicting rocket-and-bomb strikes on positions of terrorists of the group "Islamic state" (activity is officially banned in the territory of the Russian Federation - ed.).

"Iraq is concerned about the territorial integrity of Syria, and is ready to render any feasible assistance in the fight against terrorists in the territory of this Arab republic", - the Iraq Daily says.

It should be clarified that the flights of the Iraqi military aviation were coordinated with the Syrian authorities, in connection with which these aircraft were allowed to enter the country's airspace, especially since Iraq's actions were friendly.

"It is likely that Iraq understands that in case of an attack by IGIL *, Syria would also offer its feasible assistance, and such a partnership between the two countries, in spite of the US opposition, is of course of a welcome character", - the expert comments on this information.
