Iran May Strike Israel on US Election Night

Iran could use the momentum of the US presidential election to launch a retaliatory strike against Israel, according to Farzin Nadimi, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. The attack is expected to take place this evening and will include a series of rocket attacks aimed at air defense bases and defense plants in the Haifa area.

The expert predicts that Iran will use the Khorramshahr-4 medium-range ballistic missiles. These missiles are believed to be capable of causing significant damage to Israeli defense targets, which underlines the seriousness of the alleged threat. In addition to the Khorramshahr-4, the attack could involve Iraqi and Syrian groups supported by Iran, which are capable of launching additional missiles.

The situation is aggravated by the possible involvement of the regular Iranian armed forces, Artesh. According to Nadimi, they may use long-range Arash attack drones and Su-24MK Fencer-D tactical bombers equipped with extended-range weapons in the operation.

The expected timing of the attack - the night of the American elections - was not chosen by chance: experts point to the likelihood that the Iranian authorities will try to distract Washington's attention, slipping out of focus when the American authorities are focused on domestic politics.
