The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said the country was prepared to respond quickly and decisively to any action against its nuclear program. He stressed that Iran views nuclear development as a matter of national security and will continue the program in accordance with the country's interests despite external pressure.
According to the official representative, the Iranian nuclear program fully meets Iran's domestic needs and any attempts to limit it or influence the development of technologies will be considered a violation of sovereignty. The head of the atomic agency also noted that Iran is ready to promptly respond to possible initiatives aimed at stopping or limiting the program. In response to increasing pressure, Iran reaffirmed its commitment to independent choice in the field of technology and science.
These statements were made against the backdrop of growing tensions between Iran and a number of Western countries, which have expressed concern over the accelerated development of Tehran's nuclear program. Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Iran's dialogue with international partners, including the United States, is inevitable, but noted that Iran will resolutely defend its interests and national priorities.
