The deputy for operations of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Mohsen Chizari, said that Iran is preparing a surprise and decisive response to the assassination of Haniyeh, one of the leaders killed in the territory of the Islamic Republic. In his speech, Chizari emphasized that the details of this response will not be revealed in advance, but retribution for the death of the martyr is inevitable.
The general recalled the statement by Iran's Supreme Leader, who ordered revenge for Haniyeh's assassination, stressing that Iran intends to take revenge at the right time and with the necessary element of surprise. According to him, the country can be patient until all goals are achieved, which will give Iran's actions even more strategic weight.
However, despite the ominous statements, in international circles, particularly in the United States and Israel, such threats from Tehran are no longer taken seriously. Given the long period of time that has passed since the assassination, experts suggest that Iran's actions may either be delayed or not take place at all, which weakens the perception of threats.
