Iran refused to release captured Russian sailors

Iran refused to release captured Russian sailors.

The information that appeared before the Avia.pro resource that the Iranian military nevertheless released Russian sailors on the seized British oil tanker Stena Impero turned out to be untrue. Despite ongoing negotiations between the Iranian and Russian sides, official Tehran refused to release Russian citizens.

“As noted, the Iranian government informed the Russian embassy in Tehran that it would not let the crew of the detained tanker go until the end of the investigative procedures. Also in Iran, before it was claimed that the vessel prior to arrest "was involved in the incident" with the participation of the Iranian fishing vessel ", - the newspaper "Gazeta.ru" reports.

Earlier it became known that on board the oil tanker “Stena Impero” detained by Iran there are 25 people, including three citizens of the Russian Federation. It is reported that as a result of the seizure of the tanker, none of the crew members was injured, the reason for which was the crew’s cooperation with the Iranian military, who guaranteed safety to all on board.

Whether Russia will continue to hold consultations on the release of Russian sailors aboard the tanker is unknown, but so far there have been no official comments on this matter.

We, too, do not let the Ukrainian sailors go until the end of the investigation and the subsequent trial! Each country has its own laws.
