Iran has closed its airspace in preparation for possible attacks on Israel

Iran issued a NOTAM announcing the closure of airspace over its territory. The restrictions apply to a 2 km radius above Tehran, where Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will lead funeral prayers tomorrow for Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas politburo. These measures were taken to ensure the safety of Iran's top spiritual leader.

In response to the recent assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, Iran and its allies are preparing for a full-scale attack on Israel, according to the Pentagon. In this regard, additional air defense forces were deployed to Tehran to protect key facilities in the capital.

According to experts, such a decision may indicate preparation for military action. The Pentagon said the next 72 hours will be critical to determine further developments in the situation.
