From the developers of fighters, F-35 was required to make aircraft invulnerable to Russian and Chinese air defense systems.

At the moment, experts said that the use of American fighters F-35 will be effective only if these aircraft will go without hindrance to air defense systems of Russia and China. The aircraft builders agreed with similar requirements, and assumed that they will be able to realize the tasks set, but not earlier than in 15-20 years.

Independent experts on the other hand believe that such actions are supposed only to achieve greater investment in this project, while there will be no real benefit from aircraft modernization.
