The US Department of Defense intends to modernize the F-15 fighters to fight the fifth-generation Russian fighters. According to military analysts, despite the fact that the American F-15 fighter was developed in the 70-ies of the last century, and in comparison with the Russian Su-57 falls behind by a generation, this aircraft has every chance to destroy the Russian aircraft in battle one on one.

The modernization of F-15S fighters should be understood as the emergence of a new radar in their armament, which makes it possible to detect a Russian aircraft despite the use of stealth technology, in particular, it is reported that it is a radar that perceives the infrared spectrum. According to analysts, the only advantage of the Russian Su-57 fighter is its low visibility - in all other respects it lags far behind even F-15, the fourth-generation aircraft.

Independent analysts in turn noted that the opinion of US military experts is erroneous. In particular, the Russian Su-57 fighter possesses the highest maneuverability, superior even to the most manned in the US arsenal of F-22 fighter, and long-range missiles will allow to destroy the enemy long before he approaches the distance for attack.

What exactly determines the self-confidence of US military experts, while still unknown, but this country is quite critical of the emergence of Russia's fifth-generation aircraft, arguing that the Chinese fighter Chengdu J-20 is a more dangerous opponent.
