The Ministry of Defense of Finland officially abandoned the purchase of Russian fighter jets.

Portal Avia.pro in turn pointed out that from the statement made by the Minister of Defense Jussi Niinistö follows that the rejection of purchases of Russian military aircraft is temporary, and it is connected first of all with the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions.

Nevertheless, consisting at the moment the Air Force fighter F-18 Hornet proposed to replace the more efficient means of air defense, and Russian planes are ideally suited for this, both in terms of reliability, and in terms of cost.

It is assumed that at the moment the Finnish Air Force refuses to replace existing fighters armed country, waiting in the short term lifting of sanctions against Russia for the purchase of aircraft here.
