The United States will not ship F-35 fighters to Turkey.

Despite the fact that earlier Turkey had already paid part of the payment for F-35 fighters, days earlier there appeared information that Washington refused to supply its fifth-generation F-35 fighters to Turkey, the reason for which was the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that in July of this year, the first C-400 “Triumph” air defense system will begin to appear in service with this country.

It is reported that American lawmakers have blocked a contract between the United States and Turkey for the supply of fifth-generation F-35 fighters to this country. At the moment, we are talking about a temporary suspension of supplies - according to initial data, until November this year. Moreover, it is reported that Turkey may even fall under American sanctions, which Donald Trump personally promised to impose against any country acquiring Russian weapons. Nevertheless, the Turkish media reported that against the background of this, Turkey intends to end military cooperation with the United States, in particular, to prohibit American warships from entering its territorial waters, use Turkish military airbases and demand the immediate withdrawal of all American troops from their territory.
