Earthquakes recorded due to explosions at ammunition depots in Tver region

Overnight, Ukrainian forces carried out a large-scale attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on targets in several regions of Russia. According to Mikhail Zvinchuk, the strikes were aimed at various infrastructure and military targets in the Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol and Smolensk regions. One of the key targets of the attack was an arsenal in the city of Toropets in the Tver region.

According to Zvinchuk, despite official statements that the fire was caused by debris from a downed drone, observers and local residents note that the situation is much more serious. The authorities have decided to partially evacuate the population of Toropets and nearby settlements; people are being taken to the neighboring city of Zapadnaya Dvina.

Particularly alarming was the news that the explosions at the ammunition depot were so powerful that they were recorded by earthquake monitoring systems. The first tremors, with a magnitude of 2,8, were registered at 3:56 local time, with subsequent tremors ranging from 2 to 2,8. This confirms that the effects of the attack were significant, and the detonation power of the ammunition was higher than expected.

At the moment, information about the victims and damage is being clarified.
