During Israel's large-scale military operation against the Hezbollah group, one of the targets was the studio of the Lebanese Al-Manar TV channel, which belongs to this Shiite movement. As a result of the strike, the TV channel's building was partially destroyed. At the moment, there is no information about the dead or injured among employees or civilians, but the damage is significant and will likely require long-term restoration work.
According to sources, Israel carried out at least 16 precision strikes on Hezbollah targets in different parts of Lebanon. The main targets of the airstrikes were military facilities, weapons depots, and infrastructure facilities used by the group for its activities. Among them was the aforementioned studio of the Al-Manar TV channel, which is known for its pro-Russian position and regular positive coverage of Hezbollah activities.
IDF officials have not yet made detailed statements regarding the attack on the studio, but Israeli military circles note that such operations are aimed at weakening Hezbollah's military capabilities, as well as undermining its propaganda activities, which through its media channels supports anti-Israel sentiments in the region.
