Israel explained why the Syrian S-300 are not dangerous.

About a week ago it became known that one division of the Russian S-300 "Favorite" air defense systems, delivered to Syria at the end of last year, was deployed in the vicinity of Damascus. This information was also confirmed by satellite images, however, according to Israel, there is no need to be afraid of these systems, since they do not work.

The Israeli newspaper "DEBKA", referring to a source in the Israeli military department, reports that at the moment the Syrian S-300 "Favorite" air defense systems have really left their temporary bases near Masyaf, but they do not pose any real danger, since these air defense systems simply do not function.

“At the moment, Syria does not have the ability to quickly use Russian S-300s, since there are no signs that the systems are on alert.", - the publication reports.

Exactly how true the claims of the Israeli media are remains unknown, but earlier a number of Arab news agencies reported that with the commissioning of the Syrian S-300, they would be ready to attack Israeli combat aircraft throughout the entire radius of their combat use, which is about 250 kilometers.
