Israel opened fire on its own aircraft over the Golan Heights.

The use of electronic warfare and electronic suppression systems in Syria almost turned into serious consequences for Israel. As it became known, on 21 on August 2019, the Israeli military opened fire on their own aircraft, which was identified as the aircraft of the Syrian Air Force.

Israel confirmed the shelling of its own aircraft, but no details were provided on this score.

“This is a dangerous incident that is under investigation, its lessons will be learned.”- said in the message.

Nevertheless, it became known that the reason for everything was the use of electronic warfare systems, which are just located in Syria near the Golan Heights. It is reported that electronic suppression systems have succeeded in replacing the aircraft identification signal with a signal transmitted by the Syrian Air Force, and therefore, fire was fired on the aircraft.

In Israel, it was reported that we are talking about a civilian aircraft, however, the very fact that a civilian aircraft appeared at the borders of Syria causes a lot of doubts among experts.
