An incident involving an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) carried out by the Ukrainian armed forces occurred in the center of Grozny, the capital of Chechnya. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed the attack and said that the drone hit the roof of one of the buildings of the Akhmat Kadyrov special police regiment.
According to Kadyrov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attack took place at around 5 a.m., and civilians were injured as a result of the incident, which, in his opinion, only confirms the terrorist nature of such attacks. This event became another link in a series of tense events related to the development of the conflict in Ukraine and its consequences for Russian regions.
Ramzan Kadyrov, making a statement, emphasized that such attacks are not only directed against the military, but also pose a threat to civilian facilities. He expressed dissatisfaction with targeted strikes that pose a risk to the lives of civilians not taking part in the fighting.
No official figures were provided on casualties.
Recently, there has been an increase in the use of unmanned aircraft, which has become one of the hallmarks of warfare in modern conflict. Ukraine has previously announced the development of technology and the strengthening of the army through unmanned aerial vehicles, and the attack on Grozny only highlights the growing role of drones in armed conflicts.
