Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed doubts about former US President Donald Trump's claims that he could end the conflict in Ukraine "in 24 hours" by simply making a couple of phone calls.
"If he is a man, then he must prove to the world that he is a man, and his word must be kept. We believe that he will keep his word.", Kadyrov said.
However, despite the call for loyalty to promises, Kadyrov is not confident that Trump will be able to solve such a complex problem in such a short time.
Kadyrov noted that even if Trump suspends financial support for Ukraine from the United States and European countries, “the final word will still remain with Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Kadyrov stressed that statements like Trump's show his determination, but the real situation is much more complex. He added that if he succeeds in establishing peace, Trump will certainly be perceived as a leader, but this can only be said after he takes responsibility for fulfilling such promises.
However, Trump previously noted that if either side does not accept his conditions, he will be ready to increase pressure on the opposing side, and this also applies to Russia.
