The authorities of Qatar closed airspace for planes from Saudi Arabia.

Despite previous agreements that Saudi Airways planes will have to land in Doha to take pilgrims to Hajj, the country's authorities decided not to open Qatar airspace, which is a response to Saudi Arabia's earlier aggressive policy. This incident so far has not led to any political consequences for the two states, however, in the event that permission to receive aircraft will not be presented in the near future, it is logical to assume that the situation between the two countries will seriously deteriorate.

It should be clarified that earlier Qatar accused Saudi Arabia of politicizing the Hajj.
