Thanks to Washington’s statement, the Russian C-400 has a new customer.

A few days ago, the United States Vice-President Mike Pence announced that the purchase of Russian weapons by US partners would be viewed as a direct challenge to Washington. Even then, this statement was called the “best advertisement” of Russian planes and rockets, and today it became known that the Russian S-400 “Triumph” had a new customer - Qatar.

The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation reports that Russia and Qatar are negotiating on the supply of Russian C-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems to this Middle Eastern country. The exact amount purchased by Qatar C-400 SAMs is not specified, however, according to experts, we can talk about one division, due to the relatively small size of the state.

According to reports, the reason why Qatar decided to purchase Russian air defense systems was banal advertising from the United States, where it was stressed that today these complexes threaten US military aircraft.

Experts do not exclude that the contract between Russia and Qatar may be concluded in the coming months.
