In one of the districts of Cologne, German law enforcement agencies are conducting a large-scale inspection of the Bundeswehr barracks for possible sabotage. According to information published by Der Spiegel magazine, the barracks have been sealed and their territory is being thoroughly checked.

The situation began to develop after reports of possible unauthorized entry into the barracks were received. At present, it is not excluded that the attackers could have entered the territory of the military unit for the purpose of sabotage. One of the main concerns of law enforcement agencies is the possible contamination of tap water, which could pose a serious threat to the health of military personnel.

The water supply system on the territory of the barracks is the object of special attention of inspectors. Experts have already begun examining the water to determine the presence of foreign substances in it.
