Chinese airlines served 549 million passengers.

As follows from the information provided by the International Civil Aviation Organization, in 2017, Chinese air carriers served 549 million passengers, which is 13,4% of the total number of inhabitants of the planet, using air transport services last year.

This indicator is a record for China, however, according to experts, in 2018, the volume of passenger traffic of Chinese operators will increase to 612 million passengers, which indicates a high dynamics in the development of civil aviation in this country.

It should be clarified that last year, Russian airlines were also able to serve a record number of passengers (about 105 million - approx. Avia.pro), however, it is more than five times inferior to the number of passengers served by Chinese airline operators, which leads to the idea that the real potential of Russian carriers is much higher.
