Violation of Airspace

Chinese planes twice crossed the border with Vietnam

12 May. Over the past two days, aircraft belonging to China have violated Vietnamese airspace twice.

Information and a note of protest expressed the Vietnamese authorities, pointing out that, without apparent reason, the Chinese military aircraft over the past two days doubly crossed the air border of the country. According to the official report, the aircraft flew at an altitude of 900 meters above sea-going vessels, and then making a small circle, once again returned to its airspace.

Vietnamese authorities suggest that such actions are associated with the controversial Paracel Islands, which each country is trying to attach to its territorial integrity.
