The Russian airline Red Wings decided to stop flights over the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula.

It should be noted that the decision to adjust the air routes was made after the tragic plane crash that took place last Saturday, which killed 224 people (7 crew members and 217 passengers - ed.). It should be assumed that the domestic air carrier fears the risk that the plane that crashed could be shot down by a terrorist group, and therefore, before the official reasons for the incident are announced, there is a likelihood of a threat to other aircraft.

In turn, the editorial board of the information portal Avia.pro notes that the previous evening the Egyptian authorities completely excluded the possibility of destroying the aircraft from the ground, indicating that the most probable cause was the technical malfunction of the aircraft.
