A stray cat has left Cairo International Airport without electricity.
As reported by the Egyptian media, on January 19, 2018, a stray cat accidentally closed the transformer of an electrical substation, as a result of which, several terminals of Cairo International Airport were left without electricity. This incident seriously disrupted the operation of a large air harbor, as a result of which several dozen flights were delayed.
Later, experts who arrived at the electrical substation found that the culprit was a stray cat, which, most likely, was looking for food, however, due to carelessness, it closed the electrical circuit and, having received a powerful discharge, died on the spot.
How long the operation of Cairo International Airport was disrupted, local media did not specify.
