The largest American carriers are accused of racism

Human rights organizations have accused the largest American air carriers of racism and discrimination.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has accused the largest American air carriers of discriminating against US citizens on the basis of race. According to a special report, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Virgin America and United Airlines regularly violate the rights of US citizens and nationals of other states, denying flights, or providing services inappropriately, due to race.

Air carriers themselves categorically reject these accusations, however, statistics cited by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Population shows that there have been repeated cases of covert racism.

In the event that the airline’s fault can be proved, carriers can expect multi-billion dollar fines.
