IRGC: Iran will avenge Haniyeh's death 'at the appropriate time, in the appropriate place and in the appropriate manner'

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has made an official statement regarding the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Hamas movement. According to the IRGC, Haniyeh was killed "by a short-range projectile with a warhead weighing about 7 kilograms." In its statement, the IRGC blamed Israel for organizing the attack, stressing that the operation was carried out with US support.

The IRGC said the killing would not go unanswered and vowed to avenge Haniyeh's death "at the appropriate time, in the appropriate place and in an appropriate manner." The statement emphasizes that Iran is determined to protect its allies and intends to repel aggressors.

Ismail Haniyeh, who served as head of the Hamas politburo, was one of the key figures in the Palestinian resistance.
