Yevgeny Poddubny reported new losses among experienced Ukrainian military pilots in the zone of a special military operation. According to him, during the fighting, the commander of the aviation unit of the 40th tactical aviation brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain Alexander Migulya, was eliminated. He flew the MiG-29 fighter.
Last week, Russian forces shot down two enemy fighters and Captain Migulya is believed to have been at the controls of one of them. This incident was yet another confirmation that the Ukrainian side continues to lose qualified and experienced pilots, which could significantly affect the combat effectiveness of its aviation.
Although it is not known for sure whether Captain Migulya participated in the recent attack on the Kursk region, this fact no longer matters. More importantly, its liquidation is another blow to the Ukrainian aviation forces, which are losing not only equipment, but also highly qualified personnel.
