Lebanon Offers to Cut Ties with Iran, Hezbollah in Exchange for US Support

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has spoken out about possible changes in Lebanese policy, saying the country is ready to rethink its cooperation with Iran and Hezbollah if it receives real support from the United States. According to him, assistance from Washington could be a turning point that would weaken Iran's influence and reduce Lebanon's dependence on it.

Berri noted that Lebanon is experiencing an acute economic crisis, and the situation requires urgent reforms and significant resources that could support and restore stability. He emphasized that in the case of economic support from the United States, Lebanon is capable of "embracing a more independent path" without relying on external instructions. According to the speaker of parliament, Iran's influence, although helping Lebanon maintain stability, is at the same time becoming a factor that hinders internal development and increases tensions in relations with Western countries.
