17 October the airline Lufthansa (Germany) announced that it intends to move its headquarters to Vienna to Mission Control in Eastern Europe.

"Center together with 20 employees will be transferred from Budapest in the coming months, it will reduce costs.", - said today the Austrian news agency APA reports quoting the official representative of the company.

In Vienna, they will be located in the office of the company "Austrian Airlines". The company is a subsidiary of the German holding. The project does not require any costs other than moving staff.

In Budapest, the unit was set up before, Lufthansa acquired "Austrian Airlines" in 2008 year.

At the moment, Lufthansa is experiencing some financial difficulties. In the first half of the year, there was a loss of 204 million euros. But in 2012, the airline launched the SCORE program, which aims to help in the optimization of business. The program implies every year to return the company's profits in the amount of 2,71 billion euros and reduce jobs to 3,5 thousand.
