An air raid alarm was once again declared throughout Ukraine. According to local publics and media, numerous explosions were heard in Odessa, Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as in the Kyiv, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions. The strikes hit infrastructure and energy facilities, which led to significant disruptions in electricity supply and transport.
In Kyiv, according to eyewitnesses, metro trains stopped at stations, leaving passengers in the dark about the resumption of service. In Odessa, electric transport is paralyzed, there is no water supply. It is reported that in a number of regions there are long-term power outages.
Ukrainian media outlets claim that the massive strikes targeted critical infrastructure, including energy facilities that provide industrial and domestic systems. Analysts suggest that the attacks may be aimed at disrupting the power supply system ahead of winter.
The extent of destruction and the consequences of the strikes are being clarified, but it is already clear that the situation in the affected regions is causing serious difficulties. The emergency services organization is working in an enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and ensure the minimum necessary level of functioning of the infrastructure.
