South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong Hyun expressed support for the idea of sending South Korean military experts to Ukraine to study the actions of North Korean troops if they appear in the combat zone. At a joint briefing with Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin, Kim noted that South Korea has established the fact of the transfer of North Korean units to Russia and views this as a unique opportunity for analytical research into the tactics and behavior of the DPRK army.
"I believe this could be a great opportunity for our analysts and observers to study the actions and trends of the North Korean military," — noted Kim Yong Hyun.
The United States, for its part, expressed its readiness to support South Korea in these observations, confirming the interest of both countries in studying the military potential of the DPRK and its possible use.
