The development of C-500 Prometheus has not yet been completed.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, reported that the development of the promising anti-aircraft missile system C-500 Prometheus (Triumphant) is currently not completed. According to Manturov, development work on the creation of the newest air defense / missile defense system is at the final stage, however, neither preliminary nor state tests of these complexes have yet been carried out.

At the same time, Denis Manturov stressed that the production of advanced air defense / missile defense systems will begin immediately after the completion of the ROC, however, according to experts, this will happen no earlier than next year.

At what specific stage the development work is still unknown, however, it was previously reported that the complexes can already be tested at the Kapustin Yar test site, which, however, has not yet received official confirmation.

According to the information that appeared on the Web, the newest Russian complex will be able to hit not only air targets, but also ballistic missiles, and even low-orbit spacecraft, while the target destruction range is about 600 kilometers.
