The Russian airliner en route from Moscow to Yerevan, was struck by lightning.

On board the aircraft were journalists and the Russian delegation, who were sent to Armenia in honor of the commemorative ceremony of the mass Armenian genocide. The incident also occurred during the immediate preparation of the aircraft for landing, however, as noted by the persons aboard, the landing was successful, largely due to the pilot, and no one was hurt.

It is worth noting that the chance of getting lightning on the plane is quite large and amounts to about 2% when flying in a thunderstorm, however, extreme accidents with air crashes are rare.
