Fire broke out on board SriLankan Airlines

The crew of the SriLankan Airlines airplane put out a fire during the flight.

When flying from India to Sri Lanka, on board the passenger airliner of SriLankan Airlines, the battery was ignited from a mobile phone, as a result of which a kind of panic began on board, and crew members had to extinguish the source of ignition independently. On board the passenger aircraft at the time of the incident was 202 man (not including crew members - note Avia.pro), however, none of the people were injured, and soon the liner landed successfully at the Colombo airport.

The authorities of India do not exclude that in the near future they may prohibit carrying some types of batteries on board the aircraft.
