An 11-meter funnel was found at the site of the explosion in Crimea, but without the wreckage of the drone

An 11-meter crater formed at the site of the explosion in Crimea.

According to the latest data, experts who arrived at the site of the alleged downed drone in the Simferopol region of Crimea did not find any debris indicating the fall of the aircraft. Only a crater from an explosion of an unidentified munition or other object was found at the site.

Earlier, residents of the Simferopol region reported the sounds of explosions, and then Oleg Kryuchkov said that a drone was shot down by Russian means, which, presumably, was a Tu-141 Strizh model, which, among other things, was reported by Avia.pro journalists, however , the wreckage of the drone was not presented.

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, also said that the drone was shot down and did not cause any damage. This is confirmed by photographs from the site of the explosion, in which, by the way, there are no UAV wreckage either.

According to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASTRA), experts did not find any drone wreckage at the explosion site. Instead, only a crater with a diameter of about 11 meters and a depth of about 5 meters was found, indicating that the explosion was very strong.

No casualties were reported as a result of the incident. It is still unclear what exactly happened in the Simferopol region and why the wreckage of the drone was not found on the spot.

It is quite remarkable that one of the versions under consideration is considered to be the use of a tactical missile, including the Ukrainian OTRK Grom-2.
